Each student receives a piece of paper with a historical event or date on it, then must search the group for a partner with whom the event matches the date.

You could say irregular verbs are verbs that “follow their own rules.” Regular verbs follow the standard grammar rules of modern English in adding “-ed” or “-d” to form the past tense and past participle forms.
